Challange
Improving accessibility and usability in self-service ticketing systems
The existing museum ATM interface presented significant usability and accessibility limitations, especially for users with reduced mobility, elderly visitors, and people unfamiliar with digital interfaces. The interaction flow was visually dense, difficult to navigate, and physically challenging due to the screen positioning and reachability constraints. The project required rethinking both the digital interface and the physical interaction points to create a more inclusive and intuitive experience.



Goal
Design a more inclusive and user-centered ticket purchasing experience
The objective was to redesign the ATM experience through accessibility-first principles, improving interaction clarity, screen hierarchy, and ergonomic usability. The solution needed to support a wide range of users by reducing cognitive load, simplifying the purchasing flow, and ensuring that all interactive areas remained reachable and usable for wheelchair users and visitors with different accessibility needs.


Solution
An accessibility-focused ATM interface for public environments
I designed a user-friendly ticketing interface optimized for accessibility, usability, and efficient navigation within a public museum context. The interface was structured using clear visual hierarchy, large interaction zones, simplified user flows, and accessible touch targets to improve readability and reduce friction during the purchasing process. Special attention was given to ergonomic interaction patterns and screen reachability, ensuring users in wheelchairs could comfortably access all key actions and interface elements. The final solution balanced functional efficiency with an intuitive and inclusive user experience.
